Hi everyone! I am Shelby from Come All, Come Write (my writing blog, www.comeallcomewrite.blogspot.com) and The Fashionista Girls (my fashion blog, www.thefashionistagirls.blogspot.com)! Thank you for having me today, Authors Anonymous!
Today, I am going to do a book review on Delirium by Lauren Oliver.
Lauren Oliver (www.laurenoliverbooks.blogspot.com) is my favorite author. She has only written two books so far in her career, Before I Fall, and Delirium. I am reviewing Delirium because of how amazing the idea is.
Delirium just came out this year and I recently found out (I emailed Lauren Oliver!) that Delirium was actually the first book in a three book trilogy! Here is the summary of the novel:
Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -the deliria- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the governments demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.
But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.
This to me, is a sort of twist on Romeo and Juliet... only much better!
The idea is genius and I would definitely give it 5 stars!
I also have good news: if you read this book (which you definitely should!), then you can watch the movie.
Now I am not certain as to when the movie will be released or even how far they are on it (have they even cast it yet?) but I do know that Lauren Oliver emailed me (after I asked her, of course!) saying that it was and I quote, “Delirium has been optioned for film and is now on the long journey toward moviehood (is that a word??!...), so yes! It will eventually be made into a movie!”
I deeply recommend this book to anyone that likes a love story with some major suspense.
This book will leave you in love with Alex, the boy Lena falls in love with. You have to read it to know what happens to Lena Haloway and Alex.
Delirium has been my favorite book I have ever read (so far!) and she has remained my favorite author since I read her first book, Before I Fall, which I also recommend but that’s not the book I reviewed…
Anyway, if you have read it or are looking to read it, please comment here or at my writing blog (www.comeallcomewrite.blogspot.com) and let me know what you thought.
I hope you are/will be as impressed as I am.

Spreading the Word
Today's book is : Mara Daughter of the Nile.

When I first read this book, I was heavily into the whole fantasy genre. I rarely read anything that didn't have magic and if it didn't have a dragon! well, that was unthinkable. But my Dad told me about this amazing book and convinced me to get it from the library. So I did.
Mara Daughter of the Nile had me in a constant mood swing; either laughing my head off, or crying tell my eyes got so dry I had to water them. I fell in love with this book, and it is one of the very few books that I have re-read and honestly enjoyed each and every time. A clever and engrossing book, Mara herself is a stream of wit and light sarcasm that will (I lie not) leave you in stitches.
Mara is a beautiful and proud slave girl, who is bought by a mysterious man who promises her freedom and wealth if she spies for him; and death if she doesn't. Yearning for this freedom, Mara accepts this challenge and sets off, only to find herself in another similar agreement, only this time with someone from the other side!
Stuck playing double agent, soon Mara most decide between the two arch enemies; her Master who owns her freedom, or Sheftu who owns her heart. But all too soon the decision is made for her, and Sheftu discovers her duplicity; creating a turn of events that could destroy Mara and the man that she loves.
If you love a good love story that's chalk full of suspense and angst, this is the book for you. I normally hate anything that involves suspense, the guy not liking the girl, the guy hating the girl, the girl hating the guy; but I really fell in love with this book. The characters have such a life to them that this book feels very real. I cannot put this book down whenever I read it, I always try to finish it in one setting which can be difficult when you're the oldest of six and still living at home!
One of the (many) greatest books of all time that I will ever present to you, Ladies and Gentleman may I ask that you consider Mara Daughter of the Nile for your own personal reading.

Monday's Writing Prompt
Hey everybody! My Aunt Hannah is being generous enough to give Shayla and I writing prompts each week. I thought that for Monday's post it could be sharing the writing prompt she gave us so you could try it to! You'll have until Friday morning to post it on your blog and share a link in a comment to us in the Monday's Writing Prompt post. We'll then talk it over with each other, send it to my Aunt, and choose winners! On either Friday or Saturday we'll then post the writing prompt again, each of our writing prompts, and what my Aunt said/changed,etc. about them and the winners for that week. Sound good? Here's this week's.....
You've just had a DNA test done to better understand some strange symptoms you've been having. The DNA results are back, and they give you unexpected information concerning your Nationality. You're 75% Western European (not surprising because you're super fair), and 13% Native American (pretty surprising because you're super fair), but the last 13% of your DNA is extremely shocking, however, it perfectly explains the strange symptoms you've been having.
In no less than 5 pages double spaced, tell me a story using this prompt. Don't forget to explain your symptoms and what the last 13% of your DNA reveals. The more creative, the better.

Struggles In Writing
Hello wonderful followers! I'm sure many of you young writers are like me and struggle at times with your books. It can get hard to figure out plots, plans, characters, learning your writing style, to write on demand, etc. Very soon I'll have tips on all of that after doing a little research and finishing a wonderful book called Becoming A Writer By Dorothea Brande. I would recommend it to anyone who is absolutely serious about publishing. If not it's still chalked full of amazing information that you can learn. My Aunt-the one who's getting her book Cobbogoth published said that it tremendously helped her during the process of writing Cobbogoth. It's a wonderful resource. Not to mention affordable! Shayla and I will figure out a posting schedule soon and have ourselves right on track to a wonderful blog for you guys to read! Keep coming back because my Aunt will be guest posting soon!

Introduction to the other one
Hey Anonymouses! My name is Shayla, aka, Shay, Shay-Shay or simply "Hey You!". I am 17 and a avid reader. Abbi and I got together, and realizing that we both like to write and bounce ideas of each other, we decided to do this blog. Abbi was the master mind behind the design for this site and she did a beautiful job! The idea was that we could help you (and ourselves) to complete those back-burner books and get them on the press! This requires work and dedication, and not a little craziness. So to help give fuel and support, Abbi and I would like to give fun ideas and tips to help with your book writing. As Abbi said, neither of us has published anything, but that's why we're doing this. I can't wait to hear from you guys, and get to know you better (Yep my signature is weird too, but it's all in the name of inside jokes)!

Introducing Myself
Hello everyone! My name is Abbigayle Rashae, I'm 13 years old, and I love to write. My friend Shayla and I created this blog for teenagers like us who are trying to get works of theirs published. Within this blog we will share tips that have helped us, tricks for writing, and so much more! Some of you may know me from my other more popular blog True Blue Abbi. I hope that soon we'll be able to get to know you each and what you like to do also. What kinds of things you are writing and what direction you'd like to lead for your life in the future. As this blog progresses we'll have more ideas on what to add-along with a Q & A section! Now, some of you may think that we're not titled to tell you what you should do with your writing. That's why I will have my Aunt Hannah, who is getting her first book in a series published this October to help answer questions! And, if I can get her to, which I know I will, she'll guest post once every so often to share some of her secrets to success! As for the signature that I sign at the bottom of each post, please excuse me and Shayla. It's an inside joke. Also, as you see, the blog address is a little different. That goes along with the inside joke. Hopefully when we get our books published (dramatic sigh and wishful expression) you'll find out.
